Role Overview
Managing the assessment and optimization of an organization’s spending practices. The Senior Manager Spend Review play a crucial role in identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with spending policies.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to the Spend Review team, and to the broader Budget Sector team
- Deliver the Spend Review annual plan and provide oversight to the team in delivery of the individual Spend Reviews
- Act as a Spend Review focal point for interacting with internal stakeholders and other Government entities
- Oversee the Spend Review annual plan including quantitative and qualitative analysis, and associated presentation materials
- Oversee the daily operations of multiple ongoing Spend Reviews, providing active support for resolving any problems or challenges
- Review the daily outputs of the team, provide both technical and managerial feedback
- Work with the Spend Review team and any consultants to deliver the objectives for each Spend Review
- Build and review financial and operational models to deep dive government operations performance
- Build decision support presentations including context setting, research overview, scenario analysis, impact assessments, and recommendations
- Collaborate with different government entities to ensure data gathering is accurately captured and shared
- Lead Spend Review workshops with Government entities
- Ensure the development of appropriate policies, procedures, and processes for Spend Reviews in order to achieve the respective objectives
- Actively seek opportunities for process improvement in delivering the Spend Reviews
- Liaise internally to ensure that the Spend Review outputs are adequately captured in the annual budget process
Education Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or its equivalent
- A Professional certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred.
Years Of Experience And Required Qualifications.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in similar position or filed.
