Job Description

ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Qatar. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting and finance. The successful candidate will responsible for handling daily financial transactions, issuing payment vouchers and required financial documentation, preparing both detailed and summary monthly financial reports. The role includes monitoring financial disbursements to ensure they comply with established policies and procedures, safeguarding the Company`s funds, ensuring correct revenue collection practices, and enhancing revenue growth while controlling expenditures. The position also involves conducting financial studies as needed.

The Senior Accountant will examine and analyze the Company`s financial records, data, and documentation to identify any errors, irregularities, risks, or inaccuracies in the financial procedures, and report such findings when necessary.

• Prepare payment vouchers and journal entries for daily financial transactions.
• Receive invoices and complete pending financial transactions.
• Audit the collection and deposit of revenues into banks and maintain related documents.
• Audit the Company`s expenditures.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and monitor budget items to ensure alignment with the approved general budget.
• Any deviations or excesses must be explained and resolved, and special financial reports prepared as requested.
• Recommend procedures and improvements for the finance department.
• Contribute to the preparation of the Company`s estimated annual budget.
• Generate reports comparing the approved budget with actual expenditures.
• Develop and enhance revenue streams while implementing expenditure control measures.
• Ensure optimal use of financial resources.
• Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Required Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in accounting or financial auditing in QATAR.
• Proficiency in Arabic (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Experience working in government entities, centers, or semi-governmental organizations in accounting or auditing roles.
• Experience in the banking sector, particularly in reconciling bank accounts with the Ministry of Finance in accounting or auditing functions.
• Strong knowledge in handling large volumes of financial data and preparing detailed, comprehensive reports.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent understanding of the operational requirements of civil society organizations.
