About Us:
Arab Drugstore Company is seeking to hire a detail oriented (Senior Accountant).
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring accurate product costing, analyzing variances, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cost accounting within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and analyze cost accounting data to ensure accurate product costing.
Develop and monitor standard costs and update them as necessary.
Conduct cost variance analysis and report on key cost drivers.
Coordinate with the production, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure data accuracy.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing related to accounting.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing detailed data.
Prepare reports for management and make recommendations for improvements.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in ERP 360 systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
