We are seeking a qualified and experienced Economic / Financial Expert to support the assessment, planning, and development of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Oman , including well fields and the integration of new technologies. The selected expert will play a critical role in conducting feasibility studies, financial analysis, and the design of sustainable financial models to ensure the viability and long-term impact of sector investments.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and conduct economic and financial feasibility studies for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
-Develop and review financial models and cost-benefit analyses.
-Assess the economic viability and investment potential of well fields and innovative water sector technologies.
-Provide input on project financing strategies and funding mechanisms.
-Prepare technical reports and presentation materials summarizing findings and recommendations.
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, environmental specialists, and institutional development experts.
-Ensure alignment of financial models with regulatory requirements and international best practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
-Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience; or a Master’s degree with at least 8 years of experience.
-Proven track record in economic and financial analysis related to water and wastewater projects, including well fields.
– Demonstrated experience in the design and application of financial models and feasibility studies.
– Familiarity with innovative technologies in the water sector and their economic implications.
– Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
-Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
