Centamin Egypt is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, Greenfields Exploration is looking for a dedicated and experienced Security Coordinator to lead and manage the security functions across our exploration activities. This role ensures the safety and security of our people, assets, and reputation by effectively implementing risk mitigation strategies in alignment with AngloGold Ashanti’s global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Risk Management & Operations

• Implement the AGA Group Security framework and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
• Assess, monitor, and decrease security risks at exploration sites and offices.
• Conduct security audits, site inspections, and regular risk assessments.
• Provide expert advice on security protocols, procedures, and controls.
• Maintain situational awareness and an effective internal and external security network.

2. Planning & Reporting

• Develop and implement short- to medium-term security plans (6–12 months).
• Provide monthly reports on security performance and incidents.
• Coordinate with exploration leadership on integrating security into operational strategies.
• Contribute to long-term exploration planning by identifying future risks and opportunities.

3. Leadership & Culture

• Promote a strong safety and security culture within the team.
• Support crisis management, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness.
• Provide training and awareness programs to enhance security knowledge and response readiness.
• Mentor and support junior security staff to improve performance and development.

4. Compliance & Governance

• Ensure activities align with in-country legislation, AGA policies, and international standards.
• Collaborate with external consultants, local authorities, and community leaders.
• Uphold human rights and ethical practices in all security operations.
• Support corporate governance through compliance with SOX and audit standards.

5. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate with the Exploration Manager, VP Sustainability, and other departments.
• Maintain regular Communication with public and private security providers.
• Communicate incidents and emerging risks clearly and promptly.
• Represent the security function in internal and external meetings.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 7–10 years’ experience in security, with 5+ years at a coordinator level.
• Very Good command of English and computer skills.
• Prior experience in mining, exploration, Oils & Gas, construction, or high-risk industries.
• Strong understanding of security risk management, investigations, and legal compliance.
• Experience in managing teams, projects, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to respond effectively in crisis and high-pressure situations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational capability.
• Proficiency in reporting and using security management tools.
• Comfortable working in remote environments under minimal supervision.

Working Conditions:

• Work Environment: Remote exploration sites with basic amenities.
• Travel: Frequent travel to various exploration locations across Egypt.
• Work Schedule: Field-based role with 2 : 1 rotations, based on project needs.
• Physical Requirements: Medically fit for duty, able to adapt to rugged terrain and outdoor conditions.
• Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license; willingness to undertake First Aid and emergency response training.
