Job Title: Logistics Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized Logistics Officer to join our growing team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about logistics and supply chain operations, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate all logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Follow up with government entities including the JFDA, Customs Authority, Ministry of Environment, Amman Chamber of Commerce, and others.
• Prepare, manage, and verify documentation for customs clearance: invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, classification codes, certificates of origin, etc.
• Enter and update shipment-related data in internal systems.
• Monitor and track inbound shipments; collect related shipping documents and generate regular logistics status reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate customs clearance of shipments.
• Maintain well-organized digital and physical records of all shipping documents.
• Communicate with freight forwarders and customs clearance agents.
• Prepare and send RFQs to shipping providers, review cost comparisons, and submit recommendations to management.
• Track incoming shipments and update relevant departments accordingly.
• Generate daily and weekly reports on shipment activity.
• Consistently follow up on logistics tasks to ensure on-time completion.
• Coordinate daily with supply chain and related departments.
• Organize and lead weekly meetings with internal teams.
• Provide logistics-related training to supply chain and related teams.
• Meet all logistics deadlines and ensure seamless departmental coordination.
• Audit and verify supplier invoices and shipping documents before submission to the finance team.
• Support warehouse coordination for smooth receipt of goods.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar function.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate daily operations and build reliable relationships with service providers.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and logistics analysis.
• Analytical thinker with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of Incoterms, international shipping, customs regulations, and clearance processes.
• Familiarity with local import/export laws and insurance requirements.
